Nigeria Customs Service Extends Hand of Kindness to Kebbi Pupils

In a heartwarming display of corporate social responsibility, the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Kebbi Command has donated writing materials and foodstuffs to over 1,700 pupils of Gwandu Emirate Model Primary School in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State.

Comptroller Iheanacho Ernest Ojike, Customs Area Controller of Kebbi Command, led the charity visit on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. The donated items included books, pencils, biros, and foodstuffs.

During the visit, Comptroller Ojike emphasized the importance of understanding the laws of the land and the role of Customs in the national economy. He also stressed the need for the pupils to recognize the negative impact of smuggling on the national economy.

Malam Aminu Sani, the headmaster of the school, expressed gratitude for the donations, describing them as a form of support to the pupils. He praised the Nigeria Customs Service for its compassion and responsibility.

The representative of the Emirates Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Bashir KKB Galadiman Gwandu, conveyed the heartfelt appreciation of the chairman of the council of chiefs, Emir of Gwandu Alhaji Iliyasu Bahir, to Comptroller Ojike and his team for their kind gesture.

This charity visit demonstrates the Nigeria Customs Service’s commitment to giving back to the community and promoting the well-being of its citizens.
